Samsung's Wireless Charger Duo Now Available for $120

Samsung Wireless Charger Duo in Black

We had to wait until Samsung Galaxy Unpacked on Aug. 9 for the official unveiling of the Wireless Charger Duo, but we've known of its existence since July 23 when the packaging leaked. Now it's available to buy, but the price may make you think twice.

The key selling points of the Charger Duo include a lack of wires when charging your devices combined with the ability to charge two devices at once. Samsung would love it if those two devices are a Galaxy Note 9 and a Galaxy Watch.

At $119.99 in a choice of black or white, the Charger Duo certainly isn't cheap and you must have to really want to dump the wires if you're willing to pay that much. In return for your money you'll get a Qi certified charger with access to fast charging. The charger supports up to 7.5W Fast Charge wireless output, which Samsung supports on the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 among other devices.

You may be surprised to find this charger isn't silent. Due to the fact it can charge two devices at once with support for fast charging, Samsung added a fan to ensure it stays cool. Hopefully it's quiet so anyone who leaves their devices charging next to the bed can still get a good night's sleep.

We're still waiting for Apple to release the AirPower wireless charging mat which can charge three devices at once. That's expected to launch in September. So for the moment, Samsung's main competition comes from Logitech with its Powered Wireless Charging Stand. It only costs $69.99, but is limited to one wireless device at a time.
