Sony's insane 4K projector costs $30000, beams a huge 120-INCH image on your wall, and even has a posh marble top
SONY has launched a fancy "furniture-like" projector for your living room that costs an incredible $30,000.
The pricey Sony LSPX-A1 can beam 4K Ultra HD footage onto your wall, and rocks a posh design that includes an artificial marble top.
Sony's ritzy new gadget is the latest and most impressive entry to the company's long line of short-throw projectors.
These projectors sit very close to your wall, and can display huge images in very high quality, often beating proper televisions.
This particular model can deliver eye-watering 4K footage onto your living room wall up to a maximum "screen" size of 120 inches.
It also supports High Dynamic Range, or HDR, content from the likes of Netflix – that means more colours and improved contrast.
But the real selling point is the projector's swanky design.
Sony says that the artificial marble top, half-mirror aluminium frame and wooden frame let the projector fit "seamlessly into any living environment".
The device is part of Sony's Life Space UX range of products that "transform your space", and was revealed at this week's CES 2018 tech show in Las Vegas.
The Japanese tech giant recommends "projecting images of a forest onto the wall and listening to the bubbling of a brook".
Sony also talks up an Advanced Vertical Drive Technology tweeter capable of blaring sound that "resonates" through the entire room.
The tweeter is backed up by several subwoofers that can deliver hefty bass when listening to music, or just watching movies.
US customers will get the speaker in spring this year, but there's no UK release date just yet – we've asked Sony, and will update this piece when we know more.
