The Nintendo Labo is a DIY’ers dream – it allows the owner to turn your Switch into different objects.
The Labo offers different sets of cardboard kits called Toy-Con – and your imagination is the only thing setting the limits.
Nintendo has encouraged people to set their imaginations free – using colouring pens and pencils to bring the kits alive.
The quirky new accessory can be compared to the likes of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Each Labo set contains 25 cardboard sheets that can be transformed into IKEA-style objects.

When is the Nintendo Labo release date?
People in the US will benefit from getting their hands on the Labo before European fans.
The Labo will be released on April 20, 2018 in North America.
Europe will follow swiftly the next week, April 27.

How much will Nintendo Labo cost?
The current recommended retail price for the Labo is $69.99 in North America.
The UK price for the basic kit will be £59.99.
The Robot Kit will set you back a little further, costing £69.99.
An extra customisation kit can be purchased for £8.99.

How does the Nintendo Labo work?
It is worth noting that each Toy-Con comes with the Nintendo Swift software.
Once you have put the software into the console, assembly instructions will appear in 3D.
These assembly steps can be rewound or fast-forwarded, based on your own preference.

What do you get in a Nintendo Labo pack?
If you buy a variety pack you will have a few different Toy-Con to choose from.
These are a remote control car,a motorcycle, a doll’s house, a fishing rod and a piano.
You will insert your Joy-Con controllers into the car, controlling the movement using the touch screen controls.
The fishing rod offers an interactive, rotating feel.
You attach the Joy-Con into the reel – which you crank once you feel the tug of the fish.
The amazing Toy-Con house allows you to assemble the house, and also interact, feed and play games with a cute creature.
Toy-Con motorbike consist of a set of handles with ignition – giving the real feel of jetting off on a motorbike.
A cardboard piano – complete with 13 keys – fits around the Switch screen.
Its clever functions mean that for each key you press – a sensor tells the Switch which key you pressed.
This creates music on the Switch display.
In addition you will get a Switch game card which includes the software with instructions, games and other nifty features.
